Achica range to feature New Design Britain entrants

Exclusive luxury lifestyle website Achica is to launch a capsule interior accessory collection in September featuring the work of five British designers from the UK’s leading design schools. The Design Britain collection, comprising products shortlisted in the Accessories category of this year's New Design Britain awards, features products chosen for their commerciality and design - from colour pop bowls made from plastic bags to elegant hand-crafted glass lights. The range is the first part of an ongoing programme to celebrate British design talent from the retailer, which celebrates its fifth birthday this year.

The designers – Samuel Bellamy, Wael Seaiby, Alison Smith, Camilla Lee Lambert and Joseph Kennedy – are the five finalists from the accessories category of the New Design Britain awards which took place in May, and was sponsored by Achica.

Liam Butler, Achica brand director, comments: “We were delighted with the standard of design talent at the New Design Britain Awards and the quality and beauty of the work. The collection offers our members the chance to buy into the collector’s items of tomorrow. As a young designer, getting your product out into the commercial market is not easy – no matter how talented you are and we are delighted to offer an instant route to market, giving the stars of the future a chance to shine.”
