From 12 to 16 February 2016, Ambiente is offering a number of opportunities to creative and innovative businesses to show off their latest groundbreaking designs. These include the prestigious Design Plus competition as well as the highly informative Solutions special show and the innovative journalistic format Speed-Dating@Ambiente.

Nicolette Naumann, vice president of Ambiente/Tendence says: "As the world-leading consumer-goods fair, Ambiente is the ideal platform for exhibiting the latest products. Here businesses can reach out to buyers from the four corners of the earth. We have been investing for years in competitions and product presentations such as Design Plus or Solutions, as they provide our visitors and thereby the international trade with a valuable source of inspiration and guidance thanks to our exhibitors' wide range of products and services."

Up until 2nd December 2015 Ambiente exhibitors can still enter products with exceptional design qualities for the international Design Plus competition. The sole entry condition is that products must not have been on the market more than two years before Ambiente 2016. For more than three decades this prestigious accolade has been awarded for innovative design and is considered one of Germany's leading design competitions. An international panel of experts judges the aesthetics but also the practical, ecological and technical qualities as well as the overall concept of the design. Apart from a one-off registration fee of €155 plus VAT, contestants and winners incur no further costs. The award-winning products will be on show in the popular Galleria 1 between Halls 8 and 9 throughout the five days of the fair. More information and the competition entry form can be found here.

For the last four years the Solutions special show in the Foyer of Hall 4.0 has been a great hit with the public. On display there are new products offering clever solutions for those everyday problems in the kitchen and home. Every Solutions product will be positioned in the special display area to ensure that buyers can easily appreciate its quality and how it works. London-based product designer Sebastian Bergne is the curator of Solutions and will present his selection clearly and transparently. Ambiente exhibitors still have up until 27 November 2015 to enter their latest design innovations. Only products launched within the twelve months prior to the Ambiente 2016 are eligible. There is no charge for taking part in this competition.

On Sunday 14th February, Ambiente exhibitors have once again the unique opportunity to present their latest products to an audience of the world's press, in the form of Speed-Dating. Each company has three minutes to present their particular product in English. In addition to this short presentation, a further two minutes is allowed for questions.
