Gautier opens Chelsea store

French manufacturer/retailer Gautier celebrated the opening of its 109th store on 30th June. Located on King's Road, Chelsea, the store serves as a platform for the French brand to reach the affluent London market.

The evening celebration saw Gautier MD David Soulard, export manager Valérie Soulard-Brin, Gautier UK MD Harvey Roberts and store manager Eduardo Carbi oversee a reception themed around French hospitality, featuring foie gras from Ernest Soulard, a supplier based in a village close to Gautier's group headquarters in Le Boupère.

As well as representatives from Business France, 60 people including customers, designers and other members of the Chelsea design quarter attended the reception.

Founded in 1960, Gautier creates furniture for every room in the house. Around 30% of the company's output is exported, to 65 countries worldwide.
