Kindred Living has opened the doors to a new Northern Design Centre at its headquarters in County Durham. The showroom offers an inviting and inspirational setting for its bedroom furniture collection to play host to designers and specifiers from across the north of England.
Extending to 3400 square feet, the Design Centre showcases the entire Kindred portfolio and allows trade professionals to explore the brand’s creativity through its contemporary and classic themed designs.
David Burchnall, director at Kindred, says: “Our Northern Design Centre is the destination for our trade customers to find out more about the opportunities Kindred can bring to their business. It is so much more than a showroom, with product interaction at its core, including a hands-on sample and accessories hub as well as each room set featuring touch-screen technology to show more of the design schemes available with each range. The Northern Centre has the same ethos as our Southern Showroom, offering maximum design flexibility where we actively encourage our customers to bring their clients to the perfect environment for inspiration and design planning.”
With exemplary attention to detail, the 18 thoughtfully-designed sets demonstrate the inherent versatility of the ranges to adapt to the constraints of realistic room sizes in the typical British home. The result is a collection that is in tune with today’s discerning consumers and their lifestyles, delivering furniture designs that are modern, with integrity and individuality.
The Centre also includes a 40-seater conference room and several informal areas, facilities designed for customers to use as meeting venues when bringing their clients to view and specify products. Visits to the Northern Design Centre in Newton Aycliffe, and the Southern Design Centre in Slough, are by appointment only with opening hours of 9am to 5pm.
