Award-winning furniture retailer - sofa.com - has opened its doors to a new interiors shopping destination in Guildford.
With sofa.com showrooms established in Chelsea, Islington, Bankside, Bath, Harrogate, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Amsterdam, the launch of its newest showroom to date in the vibrant market town of Guildford has been a long awaited milestone for the company.

“We have long been aware of the popularity of our beautifully handcrafted sofas, armchairs, beds and footstools in this part of the UK. Guildford has always been in our sights to host a new showroom, but we wanted to take our time until the right premises became available. After successfully opening four new showrooms across the UK in 2016, I am delighted that we have found a site that fits the bill perfectly and that Guildford is the first location to add to our expanding portfolio of showrooms in 2017.”
From product design, to a dynamic website and outstanding showrooms, to in-house furniture production and white-glove delivery, sofa.com has more than 10 years’ worth of experience in providing an exceptional, fully integrated service for their customers. The premium retailer offers a wide range of handcrafted furniture designs in a number of sizes and styles, as well as a selection of 140 house fabrics including collaborations with award winning textile designers, bringing a completely new and unique furniture shopping experience to Guildford.

Situated on the upper High Street, our new location within Guildford town centre has undergone a comprehensive renovation and subsequently been transformed into 5000 sq ft of inspiring interior design space.”
To mark the launch of its Guildford showroom, sofa.com will be holding a series of free events over the opening weekend. On Saturday 6th May 2017, the leading furniture retailer will be hosting a Mad Hatter’s High Tea Party, alongside a Children’s Book Reading of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll - paying homage to the author’s connection with the town. This will be followed by an afternoon of live jazz from The Gershwin Gang on Sunday 7th May 2017, where attendees will be able to enjoy a glass of prosecco whilst sampling the culinary delights of Le Creuset, who will be providing a cooking demonstration on the day.
To enrich the celebrations, sofa.com is presenting a bottle of champagne to the first 30 customers who make a purchase, as well as offering an introductory 10% discount on a selection of its beautifully handcrafted styles throughout May. From traditional, tufted corner sofas and sophisticated, mid-century accent chairs, to elegant, contemporary chaises, sofa.com’s extensive range of handmade furniture features more than 40 designs.
