DFS agrees contract for interest free credit with Ikano Bank

Ikano Bank has signed a new long term contract with one of the country’s biggest sofa retailers, DFS, to provide interest free credit nationally across its stores and websales channels.

The multi-million pound contract cements Ikano Bank’s position as a leading retail finance provider in the home furnishings marketplace.

Andy Paver, head of UK partner loans at Ikano Bank, says: “DFS is the country’s biggest sofa retailer. This extension of our relationship with them confirms our commitment to being the retail finance provider of choice for the UK home furnishings market and pushing ahead with our growth strategy in the sector.

“The deal helps DFS continue to provide customers with flexible interest free credit payment options to make purchasing home furnishings easier and more affordable.”

Paul Scanlon, group financial services director at DFS, says: “We’ve partnered with Ikano Bank for a number of years and are really pleased to cement our relationship with this new contract.”

DFS gives its customers the option to buy products using interest free loans with repayment periods ranging from six months to four years.

Ikano Bank, which has its UK head office in Nottingham, provides smart retail finance to more than 100 retailers including Vision Express, Karen Millen and New Look. The bank has strong growth plans as it looks to further expand into the home furnishings, home improvements and leisure sectors.

Ikano Bank has also recently been awarded by Moneyfacts ‘Best Personal Loan Provider’ 2017.
