New director for imm cologne

Claire Steinbrück will take over the project management of the international interiors show imm cologne as director on 1st August.

Prior to this, she worked for more than two years at Koelnmesse as team leader for international trade fairs in the International business division.

Claire succeeds Uwe Deitersen, who is moving to the newly-created position of director customer relations for the furniture industry, and will be responsible for contacts with associations, key account exhibitors and visitors as well as relevant multipliers in Germany and abroad. Until 31st July, Uwe will also temporarily continue his previous activities as director of imm cologne.

Together with creative director Dirk Spierenburg, Claire will drive the transformation of imm cologne into a holistic interior show in the coming years.

"Claire Steinbrück has impressively demonstrated her strategic and conceptual strengths in the field of international trade fairs. We are therefore happy to entrust her with one of our events with great international appeal. The future of imm cologne is in the best of hands with her," says Katharina C Hamma, COO of Koelnmesse.

Before Claire took over as team leader for international trade fairs in the international business division in April 2016, she studied trade fair, congress and event management in Ravensburg before holding various positions at Messe Frankfurt − most recently deputy director of the German Pavilion at Expo 2015 in Milan.

Until now, she has been the contact person at Koelnmesse for all international trade fairs and has thus played a major role in the further internationalisation of the trade fair's programme.

The management of Koelnmesse would like to thank Uwe Deitersen for more than 10 years of "outstanding commitment" to imm cologne, and wishes both every success in their new roles.
