Loaf opened its latest store yesterday, in the centre of Solihull, expanding the retailer's offer of beds, sofas and furniture. The showroom, described by Loaf as a "slowroom' or 'shack", is the sixth UK location for the company, and covers some 5000 sqft.

The store features a mattress testing station, numerous sofas and arcade gaming cabinets.

Loaf’s founder Charlie Marshall says: “Solihull is a stone’s throw from Birmingham, the UK’s second largest metropolis. It’s the place to put your feet up in The Midlands and loaf around on our squishy wares. The new shack has the perfect recipe for a happy life in the slow lane and it’s high time we brought our comfy wares to this area!"

Loaf plans to open its next store in St Albans in early September.
