Championing the best in the business

The Furniture Awards are returning to the January Furniture Show in 2019 to recognise the industry’s champion suppliers of furniture and interiors products.

Developed five years ago by Furniture News in partnership with the show’s organisers, the awards have been bestowed on a small number of inspirational businesses at each edition, in recognition of the quality and value of their output.

“As the biggest gathering of furniture and interiors suppliers in the UK, the January Furniture Show presents an excellent opportunity to celebrate the industry’s best and brightest,” says Furniture News’ editor-in-chief, Paul Farley, who co-ordinates and chairs the programme.

The 2019 awards, which are again sponsored by the BFM, see the introduction of a fresh look, plus refined entry categories: Living & Dining Cabinet; Bedroom Cabinet; Upholstery; Accents; and Mattresses & Divans.

January Furniture Show exhibitors are invited to submit an entry via their online manual before 7th December. The entries will be assessed by a panel of eminent industry leaders, buyers and designers, and the most promising will be shortlisted for on-site inspection.

The winners will be announced on the first day of the show, and will join a prestigious roster (which includes the 2018 winners, Gallery Direct, Tetrad, Think Rugs and Wiemann UK).

“There’s a wealth of new exhibitors coming to the next year’s show, so I’m particularly looking forward to seeing what they have to offer,” says Paul. “In a highly competitive industry, it’s crucial to seize every opportunity to stand out. The Furniture Awards are known for their credibility and integrity, and an accolade that suppliers are proud to share with their customers – so I’m expecting businesses at every level to put their best foot forward to be in with a chance of winning in 2019.”

January Furniture Show exhibitors can enter via the dedicated tab in their online exhibitor manual.
