Core products to reward visits with trees at forthcoming show

Flat-packed furniture specialist Core Products has pledged to plant a tree in Brazil on behalf of each company that visits its stand (4-A40) at the January Furniture Show (taking place at the Birmingham NEC from 19th-22nd this month), as it aims to send a message to the trade that good business can also be good for the environment.

At the event, the supplier’s renowned flat-packed pine collections will be further enhanced by new additions, including several completely new designs.

With over 30 years’ experience supplying wood products to the trade, sustainability has always been important to Core. In partnership with its suppliers, and through continued investment, Core is committed to the responsible sourcing of raw materials.

Over a decade ago, Core formed a direct relationship with growers and forestry managers, and will offer visitors to its stand the opportunity to participate in the next planting. For each visitor that scans their badge, the supplier will plant a tree in a sustainably managed forest in southern Brazil on their behalf, and a certificate of planting will be provided as a record of their involvement in the programme.
