Belgian fair offers coronavirus guarantee

Brussels Furniture Fair, scheduled to take place from 8-11th November, has outlined a strategy to support its exhibitors this year.

Last month, the show announced that it would support exhibitors by postponing the invoicing of stand fees from June to September.

Together with the board of directors, the decision has now been made to further expand its support for the sector, by guaranteeing exhibitors that their stand fees will be reimbursed in full if the 2020 event has to be cancelled because of new Belgian government-issued coronavirus measures.

"In any case, we are optimistic," says the show's general manager, Lieven Van den Heede. "The number of infections in Europe continues to fall, despite measures being eased. The economy is getting going again and a number of international studies have shown that consumers are planning to buy furniture. These are favourable signals that offer us hope for the coming months. See you in Brussels, From November 8-11th!"
