Danish furniture manufacturer Steens Group launched a new virtual showroom yesterday – the day that imm cologne 2021 would have opened its doors.
As across the previous 30 years of exhibiting at imm, Steens planned to launching several new ranges, with a focus this year on an extensive children’s collection, Oniria. However, due to the show's cancellation, Steens took the initiative and redirected its investment into an interactive virtual showroom, so customers can see the new range and other selected collections at the click of a button.
“We are fully aware that this cannot replace presentations in real life, but this is a good alternative,” says Keld Dissing, the group’s range director. “We don’t want to lose momentum with the pandemic’s limitations, so instead of the Cologne and Birmingham trade fairs, we invite our customers to see our collections online and get inspired before having a talk with us via telephone, email or video chat. We are still here, continuously thinking of and developing exciting new ranges!”
