A series of adverts promising to take viewers on a dream-like journey through the clouds is being launched across social media platforms by Cheshire family-run business, Land of Beds.
The campaign is the most expensive advertising venture made by the business in its 50-year history, and testament to the rapid growth the bed specialist has experiencedin recent times.
The ads are a mix of live-action filming and CGI, depicting people in beds floating through the sky. Actress Farrel Hegarty, whose credits include Coronation Street, Emmerdale, and HBO film My Dinner with Herve, stars in the ads, which serve to launch her as the new face of the company.
CEO Michael Murray said he was excited to work with production specialist SOUP Creative on the special visual effects-heavy ads, not only because of its track record with brands such as Sony, Brother, Manchester City Football Club and Chester Zoo, but also due to the passion and chemistry it shared for the project. Further collaborations are already in development.
“Having been in business for over 50 years, we have a wealth of experience in helping customers to navigate the sometimes tricky journey of finding the perfect product to give them a great night’s sleep," says Michael. "We wanted our new video to demonstrate our knowledge and expertise when it comes to finding a tailored sleeping solution – but to also highlight how important it is to get expert advice when making such a significant purchase, which can have a direct impact on health and wellbeing. We hope this campaign will increase our brand awareness, so we can continue our mission of helping as many people as possible to sleep better.”
