BFM to promote benefits of membership at NEC show

The British Furniture Manufacturers (BFM) will be showcasing the value of membership at this year’s January Furniture Show.

The trade body for the nation’s furniture industry will be shining a spotlight on the many benefits offered by membership, covered by a fee starting at just £30 per month.

The BFM represents more than 160 member companies in the furniture industry, from sole traders making hand-crafted furniture to household names with stores across the nation.

BFM MD Sean Holt says: “Each of those members has access to a range of benefits which support them in running their business and help raise their profile.

“As a national trade body, we give our members a voice within Government and provide regular reports on pricing, raw materials and the economic climate.

“BFM members can also access the association’s legal, tax and HR services as well as advice on export, health and safety, compliance and regulations.

“’Our education and skills services are included too, as well as a range of discounts on services and free attendance to leading events.

“Membership of BFM can be from as little as £30 per month. At this price point our aim is to encourage the thousands of small furniture manufacturers in the UK to access a network of industry leading professionals, and engage and receive support to enable their business to flourish and succeed ”

As well as promoting the benefits of membership, the BFM will be offering a prize for its current members exhibiting at the show, with the stand which best displays the BFM logo rewarded with a bottle of champagne.

The BFM will be in Hall 1 at the January Furniture Show, which is taking place at the NEC Birmingham from April 24-27th.
