Turkish retailer Kelebek Furniture will open its first UK showroom – in Edmonton, North London – on Friday 23rd September.
Established 87 years ago, Kelebek's initial UK concept showroom will be located at 68-70 Fore Street, Edmonton.
Burcin Saltik, MD of Kelebek UK, says: “The company is very proud to be expanding into the UK, which we consider to be one of the largest and most successful furniture and home textiles markets in Europe.”
Kelebek Furniture has already opened 18 showrooms throughout Turkey, along with concept showrooms in Austria, Kosovo and Palestine this year, and has also secured distribution contracts in Dubai, Croatia, Ukraine, Romania, Uzbekistan, Rwanda and Gabon.
Tolga Kaya, GM of Kelebek Furniture, adds: “The UK is a very crucial market due to its strong importer position in the furniture and woodworking machinery sector, and has one of the largest economies in the world. In addition to its quality and design, Kelebek Furniture has constantly remained ahead of its competitors through a strong performance in the distribution network and supply chain during the pandemic. Currently, Turkish furniture brands have a much wider and stronger brand perception in the UK.
"Kelebek Furniture has over 200 furniture and kitchen showrooms throughout Turkey and have exported outstanding standards plus impressive products to around 30 countries, attracting great interest in the international market with our concept showrooms. We will continue our present growth strategy with the investments from abroad whilst contributing to our country's export market. In addition, we support the Turkish furniture market’s objective of eventually taking a place among the top three markets in the world."
