New CEO appointed at Belfield Group

Manufacturer of upholstered furniture and home furnishings, The Belfield Group, has announced the appointment of Rachael Nevins as CEO to drive the next phase of growth at the private equity-backed firm. She replaces Gary Lasham.

Headquartered in Ilkeston, and part of the NorthEdge portfolio, The Belfield Group is the largest designer and manufacturer of home furnishings in the UK and employs some 1600 people. Its brands include Westbridge and Tetrad, and its customers include many of the UK’s best-known furniture retailers, as well as leisure and online brands.

Rachael joins the company with more than 30 years’ experience of optimising businesses across a broad range of sectors, and has worked primarily in firms with private equity investment.

Formerly CEO for Adare SEC, a provider of integrated customer communications to the financial and business services sectors, Rachael led the firm through a company-wide transformation.

Working alongside NorthEdge and the Belfield management team, Rachael will be focused on operational excellence, customer service and maintaining high product quality across the four brands within The Belfield Group. As a design- and technology-led manufacturer, the business is also planning to invest further into its technology capabilities to meet evolving customer demand.

Rachael says: “My career has always centred on people and change management, looking at businesses and teams from a different perspective and forming plans to build and enhance on current offerings. There is so much more potential to be delivered at The Belfield Group, and I’m looking forward to working with a fantastic team to bring our plans to life over the next few years.”
