Argos recalls upholstery products due to fire risk

Argos Habitat has issued a product recall for several upholstery SKUs which have failed to meet the required fire safety standards and whose covers, if exposed to a naked flame, could catch fire.

The products recalled are: Eton fabric sofas and footstool in grey and charcoal sold between 1.2.2022 and 28.2.2023 in the UK, and between 14.3.2022 and 28.2.2023 in the Republic of Ireland; Jackson fabric sofas in black, orange, and artichoke sold between 14.3.2022 and 28.2.2023; and Isla fabric sofas in green, teal, and pink sold between 14.3.2022 and 28.2.2023.

These are in addition to a recall issued on 9th February for the retailer's Tammy sofas and footstools in charcoal, mink and teal.

Argos Habitat says that other upholstery materials used to make these products, such as foam and fibre, are unaffected, and comply with the fire safety standards.
