Furniture News is pleased to announce that it will be the principal media partner of Clarion Retail’s Women in Furniture Network (WIFN), which will be launched at Furniture Makers’ Hall, London, from 3pm-6pm this Thursday (29th June).
“Clarion Retail is delighted to announce Furniture News as our principal media partner for this exciting new launch,” states the event organiser. “WIFN is an important initiative to unite women from across the furniture industry, and we look forward to creating a meaningful opportunity for women to learn, connect and share their experiences, alongside our longstanding partner, Furniture News.”
Clarion Retail, the organiser of trade events including January Furniture Show, Manchester Furniture Show, Home Interiors Show, Top Drawer and Home & Gift, has launched WIFN to enable women working in the furniture industry to come together, network and collaborate.
The inaugural event will feature speakers including Amanda Waring (The Furniture Makers' Company), Dids Macdonald, OBE (ACID) and Donna Bellingham (Parker Knoll).
“Furniture News has long championed the role of women in the furniture industry,” says the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Paul Farley. “Based on findings from our recent features exploring equality and equity in the trade (see related), positive change is taking place – but not fast enough.
“I hope that WIFN will prove both a rallying cry and a valuable opportunity to women in our industry, at every level.”
