Ashwood Designs, a leading supplier when it comes to craftsmanship and innovation, has announced the appointment of Nichola Page as its new MD, alongside a strengthened senior leadership team that is poised to guide its next chapter.
Ashwood says its vision remains rooted in the values that cemented its reputation: “Quality, reliability, partnership, and an unwavering commitment to the customers who have supported us over the years.”
Nichola Page joined the business as FD in June 2025 before stepping into the role of MD in December. A highly accomplished MD with a strong background in finance, procurement and commercial strategy, with over 30 years of progressive leadership experience across PLCs and large global organisations, she brings a fresh, modern approach to leadership to Ashwood – one that the supplier says is collaborative, people-focused and driven, combining her financial insight with hands-on experience in optimising manufacturing processes: “Together we will focus on driving innovation, operational excellence and long-term business growth.”
Nichola says she is passionate about and committed to the future of British manufacturing, championing the retention of specialist skills and supporting the next generation through ongoing training and development.
Ashwood’s new FD, Jason Bailey, has been a cornerstone of the company since its incorporation in 2005. Over two decades, his dedication, professionalism and resilience have proved a key driver of Ashwood’s success.
In his new role as FD, Jason brings a broad depth of experience and a well-established track record in finance, IT and systems development.
“His deep-rooted commitment to Ashwood ensures he remains a vital contributor as the company’s focus shifts to opportunities ahead,” the business states.
Next up is design director Will Cawson. With over 20 years' experience in the UK upholstery industry, Will brings a deep understanding of craftsmanship, product development and market trends to his role. Over the course of his career, Will has led the creation of innovative furniture collections and helped shape brand identities through thoughtfully executed design.
Currently six months into his role with Ashwood, Will is focused on elevating its design strategy and driving forward a portfolio that balances commercial insight, a commitment to quality and creative ambition.
The final member of Ashwood’s leadership team is sales director Gary Thompson. Since joining Ashwood Designs nearly three years ago, Gary has helped drive the company’s commercial progress within the independent retail sector.
Boasting 23 years’ furniture retail experience, Gary brings a grounded understanding of the challenges and opportunities retailers are navigating, says Ashwood, enabling him to approach his role with empathy and “an unwavering focus on the consumer”.
“Gary is committed to strengthening partnerships, aligning Ashwood’s commercial direction with market needs, and supporting the continued growth of Ashwood,” the supplier concludes.
Meet the team and discover Ashwood’s latest models on stand 1-D20 at this year’s January Furniture Show, which returns to the NEC Birmingham from 18th-21st next month.
