The National Bed Federation (NBF) is once again looking for the most successful bed industry businesses and is inviting nominations for its 2014 Bed Show awards.
Now in their fourth year, the awards provide a great opportunity for businesses - of all shapes and sizes - to highlight their achievements over the past 12-18 months.
There are five categories: Bed Manufacturer of the Year; Bed Component Supplier of the Year; Multiple Bed Retailer of the Year; Independent Bed Retailer of the Year; and Bed E-tailer of the Year. Companies are also eligible to enter more than one category.
“The awards are becoming increasingly valued by the industry and celebrate those businesses that can demonstrate that they are, indeed, ‘best in class’,” says Jessica Alexander, executive director of the NBF, which organises the Bed Show and is the recognised trade association representing UK manufacturers of beds and their suppliers.
“We want to know about those businesses whose talent and determination deserves recognition – this could be because they have increased turnover, boosted sales with an innovative marketing campaign, won awards or gained accreditations, implemented smart eco policies or invested in the business or its people.
“Winners for each category will be chosen by our independent judging panel. And we’re lucky that once again the four key trade editors (Chris Peck, Cabinet Maker; Richard de Melim, Furnishing Report; Paul Farley, Furniture News; and Andrew Kidd, Interiors Monthly) plus Bernard Eaton, MD of Greenwood Retail and myself have agreed to judge these respected awards.”

Last year’s winners were: Burgess Beds for Bed Manufacturer of the Year; Gateway Systems for Bed Supplier of the Year; Bensons for Beds for Multiple Bed Retailer of the Year; The Bed Chambers for Independent Bed Retailer of the Year; and Archers Sleepcentre for Bed E-tailer of the Year.
The Bed Show is the only bed-specific exhibition in the UK, and this year takes place 23-24 September 2014 at Telford International Centre. Those wishing to attend this year can register online for free.
