For this year’s London Design Festival, Bethan Gray, winner of the Best British Designer Award 2013, is teaming up with Harrods to open a dedicated pop-up shop featuring exclusive designs from her award-winning design studio.
Bethan says: “I’m thrilled to have my designs in Harrods and to be part of its Design Trail for the festival. Working on exclusive designs for this most iconic of stores has allowed me to continue my passion for using luxury materials in intriguing and seductive combinations. I have paired traditional craft techniques with modern production methods to deliver timeless designs which are perfectly in tune with what the Harrods customer is looking for.”
Occupying a 350 square foot space in Harrods’ newly-refurbished third floor furniture department, the pop-up will house furniture and accessories from Bethan’s own boutique collection including new pieces from her Stud and Carve ranges and a special edition Alice tableware collection.
Annalise Fard, director of Home at Harrods, says: "We're absolutely delighted to be welcoming Bethan's new pop-up to Harrods. As part of our London Design Festival Design Trail we wanted to support up-and-coming talent as well as work with established brands and designers. Bethan's work is elegant and chic and perfectly compliments the other brands and collaborations we have in the third floor furniture department here at Harrods."
The shop will feature on Harrods’ London Design Festival 'Design Trail' which is part of the store’s new campaign – Harrods Is Design – which runs from 8th September – 5th October 2014.
