A British Furniture Confederation (BFC) delegation met with EU officials recently to discuss matters including the EU Timber Regulations, chemicals, REACH and biocides regulations, and waste management and recycling unit, as well as flammability regulations and the General Product Safety Regulations.
The industry lobby group delegation included BFC chairman Paul von der Heyde, MFM MD Jackie Bazeley, executive director of the National Bed Federation (NBF) Jessica Alexander, and chief operating officer of the Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA), Phil Reynolds.
