The BFM is hosting a knowledge sharing event in August to discuss outcomes of the Working Tri21 project.
The project, which started in September 2014, set out to enhance the social inclusion of people suffering from disabilities - primarily those with Down's syndrome (Trisomy 21) - by integrating them into the job market. The BFM was part of an international consortium which came together for the study. The project is now drawing to a conclusion with courses being developed and a pilot course underway.
BFM MD Jackie Bazeley says: "The study has been important to understanding how the furniture industry can embrace and train less able individuals to work within the sector in a way that is mutually beneficial."
The event will take place on 4th August at The Saunderton Suite, The Clare Centre, Saunderton, Bucks, HP14 4BF from 2-5pm.
