BFM to offer industry advice at Manchester show

The British Furniture Manufacturers association (BFM) will offer free advice on a range of industry topics including employment law, timber regulations and health & safety at this year's Manchester Furniture Show, taking place from 17-19th July at Manchester Central.

From 10am to 3pm on each of the show days, an expert will be present on the BFM stand in the main hall to offer one-to-one advice on issues that affect UK furniture manufacturers.

On Sunday, Mike Dimond, the BFM’s employment & membership affairs director, will give advice on Employment Law and Industry Statistics. Steve Moore, consultant to the BFM takes over on Monday, offering advice on European Timber Regulations, Flammability Regulations and Export. The final slot on Tuesday goes to Alistair Bromhead, health, safety & environment consultant to the BFM, who will give advice across his area of expertise.

BFM MD Jackie Bazeley comments:  “We are delighted to have a stand at the Manchester Furniture Show. As it is our industry’s biggest summer event it is important for the BFM to take part. Offering expert advice to UK companies on a variety of important matters that have a bearing on every aspect of their businesses is why we exist, and what we do best.”

Show director Laraine Janes adds: “The BFM is a source of invaluable information and assistance, and their expert forums will not only give the Manchester Furniture Show another dimension but also give the show’s participants a great opportunity to get practical advice on vital industry topics.”

Booking ahead for the BFM's advice is not required.
