Contemporary Italian interiors brand, Calligaris, has handpicked New George Street, Manchester as the location for its latest stand-alone store.
Now open, Calligaris anticipates that the new store will attract new and existing Italian design fans from Greater Manchester and beyond. Boasting over 250 sq m of bright and airy floor space, the store has been designed to showcase the very best of Calligaris’ collection, which includes storage solutions, tables, chairs, lights and striking accessories.
To ensure the customer journey is simple and pleasurable, the store has been divided into three distinctive areas - bedrooms, dining and soft furnishing. Each area features design led but functional furniture pieces, like the iconic Parisienne chair, organised into displays which are aimed to inspire. The CODE collection, a range of colourful accessories, lamps and rugs, designed by up-and-coming stars of the Italian design world, appears throughout.
Calligaris is famous for giving shoppers the opportunity to create bespoke pieces of furniture thanks to its extensive range of products and finishes. Reflecting this, the store features an innovative Interactive Totem – a multimedia display which gives customers the unique opportunity to customize their own furniture and see it, virtually, in a domestic setting.
Keith Wilson, general manager at Calligaris, UK and Ireland, says: “Hailing from Manzano, Italy, Calligaris has been producing stylish, practical furniture since 1923. We’re now bringing the first Calligaris stand- alone store to Manchester and are pleased to open our doors to a city that is well known for celebrating creativity whether it’s in the field of music, art or design.
“We’re certain that the style and sophistication of modern Italy and our ethos of making contemporary living easier and more enjoyable will be embraced by the design-lovers of Manchester.”
