Camelot Furniture enters retail sector

UK furniture manufacturer Camelot Furniture, which specialises in producing bespoke furniture that is handmade at its factory in Sheffield, is entering the retail sector. The family-run company, which has over 75 years’ experience in the furniture manufacturing industry, and is now run by the fourth generation of the family, specialises in bespoke rise and recliner chairs, catering for all sizes from small to bariatric. The company already has a strong presence in the mobility sector and healthcare sector, providing specialist chairs for NHS Foundation Trusts, and is now branching out into the retail sector.

Charlie Wall, MD of Camelot Furniture, says: “It has always been our long-term goal to enter the retail sector. As a family-run company this represents a huge opportunity for us. We have developed a new range of contemporary and stylish chairs for the more discerning client who wants a quality bespoke chair that is a cut above the rest.”

The company will be entering the retail market with the Universal collection of handmade rise and recline chairs.

Charlie adds: “2016 is a very exciting year for us as we enter the retail industry. We want to put Sheffield on the map by providing local jobs for local people and giving Sheffield a brand name it can be proud of.”
