Castlery now B Corp certified

Global D2C furniture design brand Castlery is now B Corp certified, which the Singapore-founded brand says makes it the first Asian furniture design brand, and one of the few global furniture companies, to earn the globally recognised standard for social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.

The certification recognises companies that meet rigorous standards across five impact area pillars – governance, workers, community, environment and customers, reflecting Castlery's commitment to building a business that balances growth with positive impact.

Headquartered in Singapore with a presence in Australia, the US, UK and Canada, Castlery operates at a global scale that makes this milestone particularly significant, demonstrating that design-led, internationally operating brands can embed responsibility and accountability into how they grow, make decisions, and create products.

“We have always believed that great design should not come at the expense of the world we live in. As a father of three kids, the goal at Castlery was always to design furniture that is responsibly made, safe for the home, and built to last,” says Declan Ee, Castlery's co-founder and president (pictured).

“Becoming a certified B Corporation is a reflection of these values that have guided us since day one and a promise to customers, partners and communities.”

This milestone is a validation of years of building responsible systems, signalling Castlery’s commitment to an even higher standard going forward. It spans every dimension of how Castlery operates, from the materials used in its products and how they are sourced, to reducing waste by ensuring that returned items are donated or recycled rather than sent to the landfill, giving every piece a second chance at a more sustainable cycle.

“Customers shouldn’t have to choose between furniture they love and furniture they feel good about,” Declan continues. “When we started Castlery, we wanted to rethink furniture design for modern homes – creating pieces that are built to last, thoughtfully designed around how people live, and made with more responsible materials. Having our business be B Corp certified recognises the work our team has done across product design, material sourcing and craftsmanship, and holds us to a higher standard as we continue improving how our furniture is designed and made.”

Beyond products, this certification reflects the standards Castlery holds as an employer and a business partner. For its people, this means clear policies across global operations and an expanded focus on health, wellness, and safety of employees. For partners and suppliers, this means transparent reporting aligned with international frameworks and certifications against globally recognised third-party standards.
