Cavendish announces manufacturer switch for independent stockists

Cavendish Upholstery has announced that from September 2014 all products supplied to its independent stockists will be developed, manufactured and distributed by sister company Collins and Hayes.

The products will retain the Cavendish name and will cater to exactly the same area of the market as at present. Cavendish manufacturing at Chorley will now focus entirely on the company's rapidly-growing business with the UK's leading mulitple, digital and leisure home businesses.

Collins and Hayes is one of the leading UK upholstery brands, and is rightly recognised for its designs, quality and attention to detail. Based in Hastings, East Sussex, Collins and Hayes has built an enviable reputation over 140 years for quality upholstery. Collins and Hayes will remain unchanged by these developments.

For Cavendish the move signifies a renewed focus on design, delivery and service. As Martin Huggins, MD of Collins and Hayes, explains: “Collins and Hayes have a reputation for the highest quality and service which we are delighted to bring to the Cavendish brand. Over the coming months Cavendish customers will see exciting new designs developed at our factory in Hastings and we hope they will be impressed by our commitment to outstanding delivery and service.”

Production of some of the best-selling models, including Pandora and Carlo, is already under way. Over the next few months the remainder of the Cavendish range, along with new models, will be integrated, with 100% of independents’ product coming from the Collins and Hayes factory by September.
