A team of cyclists from retailer Mattress Online plan to cycle over 140 miles from one side of the UK to the other, to raise funds for Zarach, a charity that works towards ending bed poverty in the UK for children and their families.
Over two days, Mattress Online's Michael Jervis (head of digital), Steve Adams (CEO) and Kirsty Mullen (development team lead) will ride from Workington, Cumbria, to Newcastle, to complete the Coast To Coast Challenge.
The trio will be waved off at Sealy UK & Ireland on Tuesday 21st June, with Mattress Online colleagues forming the support team along the way, taking in an overnight in Alston before a second day of cycling on 22nd June - arriving in Newcastle and meeting some of the team from marketing agency Evolved Search at the finish line.
"Sleep has never been more important to me since I've been getting up early on a Sunday to take part in 50-mile cycle training rides in preparation," says Steve Adams. "A nerve-racking and exhausting 140 miles over two days!
"As a novice cyclist who hasn't ridden a bike since my teens, this is a real challenge for me, but a very worthwhile challenge to support Zarach, a charity close to my heart."
