Cybertill, a cloud-based provider of EPoS and ecommerce systems, has created a competition that encourages independent retailers to share their social media success stories. The company is looking for innovative ideas on how retailers have used social media to improve their business – which can mean increasing sales, improving customer service, increasing awareness, growing their customer base … essentially anything that has enhanced their business.
Social media is becoming an increasingly important tool for retailers in marketing their business. Swathes of independent retailers have embraced social media and many are reaping the benefits. Cybertill hopes this competition will present some of the best examples from around the UK, whilst encouraging the more reticent retailers to take up Twitter, engage with Google+ and fire up Facebook.
Any retailer that has used social media to help their retail business can enter by visiting this link. It will take around 15 minutes to enter, and entrants could win an iPad as well as some high profile recognition for their business.
“Social media is now part and parcel of retail and there are some great examples of retailers using social media to drive sales, increase loyalty and help their business. We hope this competition will allow small businesses to showcase their talents and also encourage others to start using social media to help their business,” comments Adrian Mills, founder and CEO of Cybertill.
