David Cameron visits Duresta Upholstery

The Prime Minister paid a visit to the UK’s upholstery manufacturing hub, Long Eaton, on 22nd April, ahead of this month's Long Point exhibition. As part of the build-up to this month’s elections, David Cameron visited Duresta Upholstery, where he was given a tour of the company.

Mr Cameron urged British businesses to improve their export business, and, according to the Derby Telegraph, chose to visit Duresta Upholstery because 25% of its business is comprised of export sales.

David Cameron took the opportunity to promote the opportunities available through apprenticeships, and pointed out a 90% increase of apprenticeships in Derbyshire.

The leader of Derbyshire County Council, Andrew Lewer, and Erewash MP, Jessica Lee, were also present.
