Design Museum London and Vitra create pop-up garden

Design Museum London has partnered with design company Vitra to create a pop-up garden on the Thames to celebrate the arrival of summer. Housed in the museum’s display area on the riverfront – The Tank – the garden brings together some of the biggest names in design, such as Charles and Ray Eames, Jasper Morrison, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby and Verner Panton, through a series of classic furniture designs as well as new works.

Surrounding the garden are seating areas where visitors can sit and relax in the heart of London and have lunch from the Design Museum cafe, taking in the striking views of the Thames and Tower Bridge.

The Design Museum pop-up garden is on display from today until 3rd June, and all the pieces on display are available from the Design Museum Shop and the shop’s website. The installation marks a new partnership between Vitra and Design Museum Shop.
