Interiors UK is thrilled to welcome DesignersBlock to the show for a seventh year. Working in collaboration together, each year promises an individual take on the next big thing in the design world and this year is no different. A throng of talented designers will take over not one, but two separate areas of the show – hall 2 and hall 3.
20 young and brilliant top designers will display their latest inspired collections, offering an unrivalled display of best-in-class design outside of London. A fusion of home talent and genres, the show will welcome the likes of Kirigram, Laura Wellington, SKK and WalterWorks to name a few.
Kirigram promises a new collection for both indoors and out, taking inspiration from its signature elegant and organic designs, made of metal and following a simple design principle – the creation of a three dimensional object from a flat plan.
Laura Wellington vows to impress with her graceful lighting concepts. Simple yet original, she will be at home in the Lighting Show in hall 3, which this year heralds a return to mark its 50th anniversary. Gathering too will be SKK Lighting which for many years has been renowned for producing innovative eccentric and original designs. This year it will entertain with its varied range of fun neon lighting.
WalterWorks too will be joining the procession, known for its wearable design and art made entirely from household and industrial materials, frequently recycled from skips. This year the Terence and Orange lamp motivated by a passion for the form of rejected objects found in and around London, will be on display.
Rory Dodd of DesignersBlock commented on this year’s edition: “As always, we are elated to join Interiors UK. The show is a great catalyst for new work to be commissioned and fresh relationships to be built.”
