Mattress brand Dormeo Octaspring has sponsored Channel 4’s Bedtime Live!, a five-part series focusing on sleep problems in children. The company’s affiliation with the show highlights the brand’s emphasis on getting the perfect night’s sleep, and follows Dormeo’s commitment of sponsoring ITV Daybreak’s weather. Octaspring invested in more than 219,028 minutes of advertising last year, and will continue to grow this.
John Bramm, MD of Dormeo UK, says: “We had an extremely successful 2012, and this year we have continued to invest in and develop our advertising spend. Bedtime Live was the perfect opportunity for us. Not only is it a fun and engaging programme, it focuses on sleep, an issue that many of the population face, and something that we help alleviate with our product.”
The company also took to the streets of London in an Octaspring bed to shoot a video marking the end of National Bed Month (March). Dormeo tied this in with a research programme, in which 3000 people were asked to describe the strangest places they had fallen asleep.
