Dunelm deputy chairman sells shares in company

Dunelm's deputy chairman Will Adderley has sold eight million shares in the company to institutional investors, representing approximately 4% of the retailer's issued share capital, each placed at a price of 915p.

Will continues to have an interest in 55.3 million shares in the company, which includes 172,750 shares held in the Paddocks Trust, of which he and his wife Nadine Adderley are trustees but not beneficiaries. In total, this represents 27.4% of the issued share capital. The Adderley family as a whole retains a combined interest in 103.4 million shares in the company, representing 51.2% of the issued share capital.

The statement reads: "Will Adderley remains fully committed to Dunelm in his role as deputy chairman as well as remaining a very substantial shareholder in the company. Under the terms of the placing agreement, Will Adderley has agreed not to dispose of further shares in the company for a period of at least six months."
