DX Freight returns to May Design Series

May Design Series, organised by UBM Live Built Environment, will welcome back DX Freight after its debut last year.

This year, DX Freight will host a display of 60 of the best products from the international show circuit in four specially-designed rectangular crates, open at both ends for ease of viewing. The products will include highlights from across a selection of shows including: Maison et Objet Paris; imm cologne; Light & Build, Frankfurt; and iSaloni, Milan.

The four crates will be curated by members of the industry, including:

Paul James, editor, Mondo Arc – encapsulating Light & Build

Bethan Ryder, luxury news editor, Telegraph Luxury – the best bits of Maison et Objet

Johnny Tucker, editor, Blueprint – unearthing the gems at Milan, and

Tobias Lutz, MD, Architonic – rounding up imm cologne

With up to 60 companies involved, the feature will demonstrate the best in up-and-coming new design, as well as showcase a vast blend of design talent from across Europe.

Johnny Tucker says: “Milan is a massive melting pot of creativity and it’s going to be an exciting challenge to distil down its essence for the May Design Series DX Freight feature. If you can’t make it to Milan, this should give you the full flavour of the event.”

Tobias Lutz says: “London is booming once more. It’s fitting that such a creative and economic global hub should play host to the increasingly international furnishing fair that is May Design Series. As the number one online resource for architecture and design, Architonic is delighted to collaborate with this event, which, with its professional atmosphere and emphasis on quality has quickly established itself as a firm fixture in the design calendar. If it’s May, it’s got to be London.”

Andrew Vaughan, brand director for May Design Series, adds: “We are thrilled to have this feature return to the show after the success of last year. It’s a real opportunity for retailers and contractors, big and small, to view at a glance the collection of the best products from our international counterparts chosen by those closest to the industry, all in one space.”

May Design Series 2014 will amass close to 400 exhibitors in five distinct sectors, from Furniture, Decor, Lighting [including Arc], Kitchens and Bathrooms to DX. Also, The Furniture Show at May Design Series, new for 2014, will welcome a preview of established Interiors UK exhibitors.

May Design Series will run from the 18-20th May at London ExCeL. Visit the website to register for a complimentary pass.
