Entries are now open for the BFM’s furniture industry awards. Now in their third year, the BFM Future of Furniture Awards celebrate exemplary work in four categories, with a focus on education and sustainability.
The BFM launched the Future of Furniture Awards in 2023, and since then the accolades have gone from strength to strength, gaining increasing recognition across the UK.
In a move that reflects their growing success, the 2025 winners will be announced at a special reception at the BFM’s Furniture Component Expo, which takes place at the Telford International Centre on 19-20th March.
BFM members can enter as many categories as they like, choosing from four options, the Future of Excellence in Education Award, the Future of Excellence in Sustainability Award, the Future of Excellence in ESG Reporting and the Future of Excellence Sustainability Champion. Entry is free, and the deadline to enter is 17th January, 2025.
Phil Spademan, MD of the BFM, says: “We’ve been delighted with the response and quality of entries from across the industry to the Future of Furniture awards since their launch. It’s now time to champion our winners for 2025 and we hope to see BFM member companies enter as many categories as they wish, and see their achievements recognised.
“The four accolades highlight the value and variety of careers within the industry, as well as showcasing the steps being taken to support a greener approach in business.
Judges of the Future of Excellence in Education Award are looking for entrants who provide a rewarding working and learning environment to new recruits and offer insight into partnerships and initiatives with schools, colleges and other organisations to attract talent into the sector.
For the Sustainability Award, the winner will demonstrate a commitment to improvement in sustainability, alongside their plans to achieve targets over the next three and five years. The judges will also consider how members empower their teams to focus on sustainable solutions.
The Best ESG report will recognise best practice and creativity in communicating their business or organisation’s environmental, social and governance initiatives, performance and impact, while the Sustainability Champion will be given to an individual working within a BFM member company who goes above and beyond to promote industry activities that support the planet.
