Final call for charity clay pigeon shoot

Industry charity The Furniture Makers’ Company is issuing a final call for teams to participate in its charity clay pigeon shoot, Big Shots.

The fundraiser is taking place at Holland and Holland, Middlesex, on Wednesday 6th July 2022. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 29th June.

The day will commence with breakfast. After a safety briefing, the 100-bird shooting competition will start with the firing of the cannon, with teams then making their way round 10 stands set in the estate’s 60 acres of open countryside. In addition to the traditional shooting stands, there will be some novelty stands, including the flash clays and an eight straight stand. After the clay pigeon competition, there will be prizes, a raffle and charity auction, following a three-course lunch with wine.

As always, there will be plenty of opportunities throughout the day to raise money for the charity, which supports workers from the trade who have fallen on hard times and encourages new talent into the industry. Guests will also be able to bid for the opportunity to fire the cannon that will start the day.

Big Shots is once again being generously sponsored by Furniture Village and organised with the support of commercial director Charlie Harrison, who says: “This is your final chance to join us for this year’s Big Shots, a highlight in the trade calendar. Furniture Village has always been a proud supporter of Big Shots, and having the ability to bring together so many people from across our wonderful industry, while supporting our industry charity, is a pleasure to be involved with. We’re all looking forward to being back at Holland and Holland with all our friends and colleagues, so don’t miss out.”

The price of an individual shooter is £300 + VAT, with a team of four costing £1200 + VAT. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
