Furniture retailer Fishpools, of Waltham Cross, has announced the passing of its chairman, John Fishpool.
John became the third generation to join the family business, in April 1958, and played an instrumental role in growing Fishpools into one of the largest furniture stores in the South East.
"His passion for the industry, customers and community, is an inspiration to colleagues past and present, and remains at the heart of Fishpools today," states the business. "John was a true gentleman and a huge part of everyone’s lives at Fishpools, he will be missed by all.
"In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation to Isabel Hospice using this Just Giving page."
Established in 1899, Fishpools' store now covers 62,000 sqft and is run by the fourth generation of the Fishpool family.
