Oak furniture manufacturer Fortunewoods has developed a new in-store studio concept, Fortunewoods Centre. The company has embarked on an aggressive web marketing campaign to help drive footfall to the participating stores. In addition, it will offer direct transactions and delivery to customers.
“After many months of planning, we are now in a position of strength with stock – we can offer quick delivery across all eight ranges, direct to the centres or the end consumer,” says the head of Fortunewoods Centres, Mark Bonner.
"We have 17 centres lined up now, and loads more in the pipeline. The early signs are really good”
“The internet now plays a huge part in the way we shop and research what we are looking for. Over the last few years, this form of advertising and marketing has clearly been dominated by certain national companies and national e-tailers, leaving the indepedant stores struggling to compete in the online advertising sector. By having a Fortunewoods national website, we can assist our centres and drive footfall back into the stores, as well as help them gain online sales.
“All the centres will benefit from direct advertising on our website in their area, gaining online exposure through our natural and paid listings.”
As well as extensive search engine optimisation (SEO), the Fortunewoods trade website will offer live stock updates from the company’s warehouses in the UK and China. Orders placed on the website will go through the nearest stockist available. Fortunewoods will also offer a full direct home delivery and aftercare service for all centres as part of the package.
“New product ranges are constantly being designed and we have now launched a new sector to our business – Preciouswoods – which designs exclusive private label ranges for our clients.
