Having worked for the company on a part-time basis for 10 years, Shona Carmichael has joined Furniture Fairs, the exhibition organiser behind the January Furniture Show and Manchester Furniture Show, as the full-time sales manager for both events.
"We are delighted to have Shona on board full time now," comments Laraine Janes, director of Furniture Fairs, which she runs alongside Theresa Raymond.
"We will be strengthening our team over the coming months, but will still provide the same personal approach and attention to detail that our exhibitors are used to receiving."
Shona adds: "I have worked in the exhibition industry for a number of years, and have had the privilege of working with the girls for the past 10 years on a part-time basis on the Manchester Furniture Show. That's where my passion for the industry came from.
"I am now excited to take up the opportunity of being both sales manager for Manchester Furniture Show and the January Furniture Show, which I feel will be an exciting challenge and one which I will fully embrace."
