The Furniture Makers’ Company, the furnishing industry’s charity, is to hold a Christmas Ball fundraiser. The black tie event is being held on Thursday 1st December at Mitton Hall, a 15th century Manor House in Ribble Valley, near Clitheroe, Lancashire.
Set to be a highlight of the festive season, the fundraiser will consist of a drinks reception, three-course meal, dancing to a live band and 'champagne games’.
Jan Turner, chair of the Furniture Makers’ North-west fundraising committee, which is organising the event, says: “The ball is open to anyone and everyone involved in the furnishings industry - ticket sales are going well and we’re expecting some very high-profile people and companies to be there.
“Holding this particular Christmas function in the North is part of the Furniture Makers’ policy to make its events more easily accessible to people and companies across the country. So although this is being organised by a regional committee, it’s very much a national event.
“As well as being a fun night where everyone can get dressed up to the nines and raise some money, it will be a good networking opportunity too.
“Whether people want to come along on an individual basis or perhaps use it as an opportunity to do some corporate hospitality, Mitton will be the place to be to get the festive season off to a great start!”
Tickets for the Christmas Ball cost £60 each or £600 for a table of 10. A £20 deposit per head is required on booking. For more information call Northern organiser Louise Hicks on 07442 012216 or email [email protected]
