Furniture repair fleet takes to the road

Furniture repair specialist FIRA Service Technicians has invested in 15 new technicians and a new fleet of vans to meet the growing demand for its services.

The department has completed the latest phase of a recruitment programme, designed to bolster its presence when visiting consumers’ homes. FIRA’s expert technicians are used by many UK retailers and manufacturers to carry out an impartial fault verification (inspection) and repair service.

Richard Whitbread, technician manager, says: “In order to accommodate the growth in our client base, we have recently recruited a further 15 technicians in locations across the UK. These latest recruits have been fully kitted out with a comprehensive toolkit and VW Caddy van.

“The new vans are prominently branded with our logo and together with the uniforms we brought in last year complete the professional appearance to go alongside the many years of experience and high level of skill our technicians hold. We feel this investment in our image is essential when representing our clients’ brands.”

New technicians have been recruited to cover a number of locations, including Birmingham, Sheffield, Wakefield, Norfolk, North-east England, London, Scotland and Wales.
