Following the company's successful home accessory range extension at the beginning of the year, Gallery Direct appointed textile expert Jayne Zalega to further expand its catalogue by offering a wider offering of soft furnishings – the key launch of which is taking place on stands G03 and F04, hall 2, this week at Autumn Fair International, running until Wednesday 10th at the Birmingham NEC.
Jayne, who has over 20 years’ experience in the industry, is business development director, responsible for product design, procurement and the commercial development of Gallery’s soft furnishings range.
MD Peter Delaney comments: “With Jayne’s knowledge and expertise, we are extending our textile offering and have committed to a £1.5m investment in the range which will see 250 new items added to our catalogue. This will include a much wider selection of cushions and throws, as well as draft excluders, quilts and high-quality Egyptian cotton bed linen.”
The new soft furnishings collection introduces three brands.
Kilburn & Scott is a rustic and natural brand which features a range of luxurious tactile fabrics, from bespoke, yarn-dyed checks to 100% New Zealand wool throws. Within the range is a collection of wildlife-inspired cushion designs, exclusively commissioned from a leading artist and photographer. All bedlinen is 100% cotton and many of the cushions are feather filled. Kilburn & Scott also features a festive seasonal range, with chunky 100% cotton cable knits, Fair Isle patterns and a collection of premium felt applique cushion designs with stitched detailing and decorative buttons.
Next is Parisian House. This luxurious brand features a range of classics in a soft and elegant colour palette. It features a sophisticated range of 200TC 100% cotton sateen prints and 300TC Egyptian cotton. The textured chenille cushions range has a shimmer effect and features detailing such as buttons, contrast beading and piping.
Finally, there is the Gallery Home brand, which features on-trend statement pieces with modern designs and vibrant colours. There is a great attention to detail given to all products, from the coloured trims to piping. It features high-quality fabrics from viscose velvets to Egyptian cotton bedlinen. The exclusive Isabella Watercolour Floral collection features feather-filled cushions as well as bedlinen and draught excluders.
