Gallery Direct has announced the purchase of new head office and warehouse premises in Sittingbourne, Kent.
The company moved to this specifically-built distribution facility with offices, showroom and 70,000 sqft warehouse facilities at the beginning of October. The property is on a 5.1acre site, so there is plenty of space for future expansion.
The need for additional space in warehousing is due to the strategic expansion of the company that has seen the recent purchase of the Frank Hudson business, as well as a significant range extension across the home decor catalogue.
In addition, Gallery's new soft furnishings offer will boast over 250 lines that have been exclusively designed and manufactured from the finest raw materials.
"Our product range has increased significantly this year so we need larger premises to ensure we can hold sufficient stock to supply our customers quickly and efficiently,” operations director, Andy Lambeth remarks.
“The new building is down the road from our current facility, but significantly larger and more modern, allowing us to become even more efficient.”
“We have always prided ourselves on doing things well,” commented Peter Delaney, MD. “I am sure our colleagues will be able enjoy the new facilities and we anticipate productivity to rise further, with our efficient processes and the excellent team work and spirit that allows us to continue to thrive.
“The larger showrooms are a real bonus for our clients, as we can display even more products, including our wide ranges of mirrors, furniture and soft furnishings.”
Clients are welcome to visit the new premise, by appointment.
