Glasswells home furnishings store has presented its beds and bedroom buyer Julie Valentine with an award for 30 years of service.
Starting her career as a personal assistant to the sales director in 1992, Julie became the retailer's beds and bedroom buyer in 2009.
Thanks in part to Julie’s passion for her department, Glasswells won two National Bed Federation (NBF) Bed Industry Awards in 2022: Outstanding Bed Store of the Year; and Large NBF Retail Champion of the Year.

She negotiates the very best value for our customers, with offers on huge bed brands. To be described by the judges at last year’s industry awards as ‘one the finest furniture retailers, not just in the UK but maybe all of Europe’, makes me very proud, and a special thanks must go to Julie, who has put tremendous effort into making Glasswells the Outstanding Bed Store of the Year.”
