Harrison Spinks to be featured on BBC's Countryfile

Harrison Spinks has been chosen by the prestigious Sunday night program Countryfile to feature as a great example of a UK company using British wool in the manufacturing of luxury mattresses.

Countryfile was very interested in the company's unique and diverse approach to vertical manufacturing. In particular, owning its own farm, where the business grow crops such as Hemp and Flax and care for sheep in exchange for their fleeces, which are then used in fillings in Harrison Spinks' natural beds. These UK grown raw materials are blended with other luxury natural fillings at the Harrison Spinks factory, just 20 miles away from the farm in Leeds.

The feature will be presented by resident Countryfile farmer Adam Henson who was able to experience the luxurious comfort of sleeping in a Harrison Spinks bed in the recently restored Hornington Manor within the grounds of the Harrison Spinks farm.

Adam also went on to visit the main production sites in Leeds, where he toured the blending units and the mattress production lines, to see for himself the use of the sumptuous natural fillings and the craftsmanship needed to create such refined mattresses.

Simon Spinks, MD of Harrison Spinks, says: “It is gratifying for the company to be recognised by such a BBC institution as Countryfile and it is incredibly encouraging that our story will be told to the nation by Adam and his team.”

The Countryfile program is scheduled to air on BBC 1 on Sunday 13th July at 6pm and will be available on BBC One iPlayer for a week after the program has been aired.
