Heal's promotes Campbell Thompson to senior buyer for furniture

Heal’s has promoted Campbell Thompson to senior buyer for furniture with immediate effect. Thompson’s new role involves overseeing the overall furniture buying at Heal’s, as well as his existing category, Cabinetry.

Thompson joined Heal’s as cabinet buyer in September 2013. Since then, he has introduced some of the best contemporary design names to Heal’s, from Arne Jacobsen to Katie Walker. Thompson has over 10 years of experience in high-end furniture retail - starting at the sharp end with sales and retail management, before progressing into furniture buying across a variety of categories.

Thompson began his retail career in 2003 at Skandium, before joining Ligne Roset UK in 2005. Prior to joining Heal’s, Thompson spent five years working in the furniture department at Harrods - initially as furniture retail manager. He later made the transition into buying, where his focus was on developing the Lighting and Contemporary Furniture offer, before he was promoted to beds and bedroom furniture buyer.

Campbell Thompson says, "I'm delighted to be offered this new opportunity to take Heal’s furniture to the next level. The company is going through an exciting period of change, and I’m proud to be part of this important journey.

“My goal is to help maintain not only Heal’s exceptional offering of cutting-edge furniture design, but also its long-standing commitment in discovering and nurturing young design talent. Heal’s is a brand with great heritage, but with a modern vision for the future. I look forward to being part of this new chapter and driving the business forward into the next era.”
