Industry APPG chair to speak at charity’s Yorkshire Curry Night

Mark Eastwood, MP of Dewsbury and chair of the All Party Parliamentary Furniture Industry Group, is to be the guest speaker at the seventh annual Yorkshire Curry Night, organised by the Yorkshire Region of The Furniture Makers’ Company

The event, held at the award-winning Aagrah Midpoint restaurant in Bradford, is taking place on Thursday 2nd March 2023. The evening, now a fixture in the charity’s calendar of regional activity, offers furnishing industry colleagues in the north of England an opportunity to network and socialise while enjoying a three-course meal. The event will also include a short speech from Mark Eastwood MP and a raffle in aid of the charity.

The funds raised will support the charity’s education programme and go towards helping people from the industry who have fallen on hard times.

Fara Butt, Yorkshire regional chair (pictured at last year's event), says: “On behalf of The Furniture Makers’ Company, you are warmly invited to this year’s Yorkshire Curry Night, an entertaining event among industry friends. The Yorkshire Curry Night is set to be wonderful evening with exceptional food, entertainment, and fundraising. We are hoping as many of you as possible will be able to join us at the Aagrah with confirmed guest speaker Mark Eastwood MP.

“Mark’s political priorities are supporting businesses in the constituency to create a strong economy. He is chair of the furniture industry APPG. The annual curry night has previously done so much to raise funds for and awareness of the charity which supports vulnerable people in times of personal and financial crisis.”
