International furniture and retail expert joins BoConcept

BoConcept plans to sharpen its focus on the design and sale of upholstery furniture by consolidating product and collection development into a dedicated upholstery team. To head this work, the group has engaged the services of international furniture and retail expert Stefano Sette, who brings more than 23 years' experience with Natuzzi to the job.

To enhance the competitive advantage of its upholstery furniture, BoConcept is setting up a global upholstery team that will consolidate its design, development and production competencies into one dedicated field of responsibility. BoConcept has engaged internationally-acclaimed furniture and retail expert Stefano Sette, whose task it will be to further develop the company's upholstery range and oversee it all the way from concept to sale in consultation with BoConcept's current designers and suppliers.

Stefano left his position as chief product and brand officer and member of the senior management of the world-leading Italian furniture and retail brand, Natuzzi, to join BoConcept. For the past 23 years, Stefano Sette, who was in charge of strategy, marketing, product portfolio and collaboration with designers and other suppliers, has been a driving force behind Natuzzi's worldwide growth.

"I'm thrilled to become part of BoConcept, which I consider one of the most powerful and exciting global brands in the lifestyle furniture segment. Based on my many years' experience across the entire value chain, from design over development to the sale of high-end branded furniture, I am looking forward to getting to work on developing and enhancing BoConcept's upholstery range together with the other members of the team," says Stefano.

"The fact that we are able to attract an expert like Stefano underscores BoConcept's strong position in the market," says Claus Ditlev Jensen, collection & visuals director of BoConcept. "He brings a unique sense of quality and superior design skills to the job – in addition to which he contributes with a very strong global supplier network. With the increased focus on our upholstery range and the engagement of Stefano as category director, BoConcept really steps up a gear in its efforts to expand and optimise sales in our largest and most important product area."

Stefano joined BoConcept on 6th May, and will report to Claus in the future.
